Left-Handed White Conch Shell or Valampuri Shankha
This is a smooth, glossy white conch shell. Based on the image, the shell is spiraling to the left, which is a rare and highly auspicious type of conch known as a Valampuri Shankha (or Dakshinavarti Shankha in some traditions). Unlike the more common right-spiraling conch, this left-handed variety is considered sacred and is highly revered in Hinduism and Buddhism. It is believed to bring good fortune, wealth, and prosperity to the owner.
The shell is a natural object that has likely been polished or coated to achieve a smooth, pure white, and glossy finish. It is used in religious rituals and is placed on home altars (puja rooms) as a symbol of divine energy. It is not typically blown like a regular conch shell.
